Prostate Health Seminar and Screening

Seminar Quota: 25 persons (Seminar only, lottery required)

Content:

- Educate about the prevention and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer.

- Video delivered by Professors and Doctors of the Department of Urology, with live explanations and Q&A session by staff from the Research Team of the Chinese University of Hong Kong

Time:  10:00 am to 1:00 pm (complete screening)

Seminar & Screening Quota:  20 persons (Lottery required, participants must meet all the eligibility criteria and being Wong Tai Sin DHC member)

Content: 

- 10:00 am to 11:15 am, attend Prostate Health Seminar (mandatory)

- 11:15 am to 1:00 pm, arrange for PSA Screening Test one by one.

- A questionnaire must be completed in the screening session.

- CUHK team will collect a small blood sample via finger prick to test PSA level, result can be obtained in about 10 minutes.

- If the result is abnormal, a referral letter will be issued for participant to seek further examination and follow-up.

Eligibility Criteria (Meeting all points):

1. For Male, aged 45–80 only; and

2. Has not undergone prostate examination or surgery; and

3. Not currently receiving medication for benign prostatic hyperplasia; and

4. In good health; and

5. Meets all requirements above and agreed for our staff pre-assessment (Our nurse will contact selected participants individually)

6. Please bring your valid Hong Kong Identity Card and attend the seminar on time

(Remarks: Participants are requested to complete our Centre member registration before 1 NOV )

【跑步與對抗性運動受傷攻防戰講座】

於10月24日舉辦「跑步與對抗性運動受傷攻防戰」講座。講座由港大醫學院臨床醫學學院矯形及創傷外科學系臨床教授 黃德民教授主講，向大家講解常見的運動受傷原因及預防方法。

黃大仙地區康健中心將於2025年10月22日(星期三)舉辦「2025 VR眼動認知障礙評估」，誠邀會員及非會員報名。

活動名稱：2025 VR眼動認知障外評估

活動內容：以創新科技VR眼動追蹤技術，及早為長者評估認知缺損風險

活動時段：早上10時30分至下午6時30分 (篩查過程需約30分鐘)

活動地址：九龍黃大仙睦鄰街8號現崇山商場地下G7-8號舖

名額：60人(名額有限需要抽籤) (分階段參與)

費用：免費

獲成功抽籤者，中心將於活動舉行前2-3日前發送Whatsapp確認

篩查資格：

1.60歲或以上

2.目前沒有眼睛相關疾病(如白內障、青光眼、色盲或視網膜疾病)

3.聽覺良好

Cycling exercise free session: Only for members who joined and completed Wong Tai Sin District Health Centre cycling class before.

Based on First-come First-served princple, the eligible member can choose any one session to join. Each member can enrol one session only.
